Our journey began over 15 years ago in the basement of a detached house in the beautiful town of Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. In 2010, the innovative founders of the company, Anna Rutzka and Ulrich Scheide, applied their decades of experience and expertise in the manufacture, clinical application and sale of general surgical instruments to their idea of a digital sales channel. They created one of the first online shops for surgical instruments in Germany. Since then, doctors, hospitals and other medical institutions have been able to purchase their instruments quickly and easily online. A historically grown network of reputable manufacturers, coupled with the knowledge of hidden champions in instrument manufacturing, enabled the creation of a comprehensive product portfolio of the highest quality.

In 2021, CHIRU+ became part of the Ackermann Group, a family-owned medical technology company with headquarters in Rietheim-Weilheim, Baden-Württemberg. Ackermann Instrumente GmbH develops, manufactures and distributes solutions of the highest quality, particularly for open and minimally invasive surgery, but also for ligature and spinal implants.
